Turtleford Credit Union is currently seeking a Marketing Officer (temporary) to join our team. This position reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our products/services and increase brand awareness.   

As the successful candidate you are passionate about marketing, possess excellent communications skills and have a keen eye for detail.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and executing marketing plans to achieve credit union objectives.  This may include conducting market research to identify trends and member preferences, creating content for various marketing channels, managing the company’s website content and ensuring brand alignment, coordinating marketing campaigns and events, and analyzing the performance of marketing initiatives for optimized success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary purpose of this position is to be a part of the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility and promoting products/services to achieve the credit union’s objectives.  This position plays a pivotal role in conducting market research, crafting compelling content, coordinating marketing campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts.  The Marketing Officer serves as a key contributor to cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent messages and brand identity across various channels. 

This is a full time (temporary position). The role primarily focuses on marketing activities, however, is also responsible for helping as a Member Service Representative (MSR) and provide support to the lending team as needed. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA(S)

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to achieve credit union objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, member preferences, and competitive analysis.
  • Create engaging content for various marketing channels including social media, email campaigns and website.
  • Manage and maintain company website content and ensure its alignment with brand identity.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and events, including liaising with external vendors and partners.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and provide insights for optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to continually improve marketing efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this position, the ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in Marketing or at a minimum a strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques.

Some of the skills required to succeed in this position include proven experience in marketing roles, preferably in a similar industry, strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, teamwork, cooperation and continued learning and development.
